I didn’t write. I didn’t know what to say. So instead, I waited along the beach waiting for the sun to set. You see, I love sunsets, they’re so familiar, they keep me at peace.
I gazed with a distant look beyond the horizon, and before pausing to rest, the lights begin to fade.
I wanted to smear the sunset other than orange hues, maybe the color of your eyes—but even that already lost its light.
